The Moxie Family · Moxie & Moxie XL

Your quilt. Your machine. You finish it.

The Moxie family is where longarm ownership becomes approachable. Tired of wrestling quilts through a domestic machine — or sending every finished top to someone else? The Moxie gives you the space and stitch regulation to finish your own quilts at home.

Handi Quilter Moxie longarm
Who is this for?

Approachable longarm ownership.

The Moxie has a 15″ throat; the Moxie XL increases that to 18″. The XL also adds a 4.3″ touchscreen and stitches up to 2,100 stitches per minute, versus 1,800 on the Moxie.

If you want the simplest path from “quilt top” to “finished quilt” in your own home, start here.

Which one?

Which Moxie is right for you?

Same approachable family — the choice is budget versus quilting space.

Moxie

Choose Moxie if…
  • You want the lowest-cost path into a true frame-mounted Handi Quilter longarm
  • Straightforward controls matter more than extra quilting space
  • 15″ throat · up to 1,800 stitches per minute

Moxie XL

Choose Moxie XL if…
  • Your budget allows a little more for 18″ of throat space
  • Larger 4.3″ touchscreen
  • Up to 2,100 stitches per minute

That extra three inches matters more than it sounds — more quilting space means more room for designs and fewer advances of the quilt.

Space

Start with the space you have

The Moxie and Moxie XL work with the compact Little Foot Frame or the 8′ or 10′ Loft Frame. The Little Foot has roughly a 4′ × 5′ machine-and-frame footprint before allowing room for you to work around it.

Don’t automatically assume “I don’t have room for a longarm.” Let’s measure first.

How you want to quilt

Free-motion or computerized?

The Moxie family lets you choose — or do both.

Drive it yourself

Free-motion quilting and ruler work — your hands guide every stitch.

Add Pro-Stitcher Lite

Let digital designs become stitches.

Barb’s recommendation: if you already know computerization is important, choose the Moxie XL + Pro-Stitcher Lite — the additional throat space gives the computerized system more working area.

Room to grow

When should you move up to an Amara?

If your passion is free-motion quilting, ruler work, custom quilting, and smooth movement — don’t make the decision based on price alone. Come drive a Moxie and an Amara.

Your hands may tell you which machine you should own before the specifications do.
