Through stories, demonstrations, and examples, Nick will show how quilting decisions completely change the appearance, texture, and personality of a quilt.
In the afternoon, participants are invited to bring one quilt top for a group discussion about quilting possibilities. Explore different approaches, compare design ideas, and discover how small changes can create dramatically different results.

For Pro-Stitcher Owners
Move beyond quilting quilt tops and discover how digital quilting can create beautiful fabric for jackets, vests, bags, and home décor.
This workshop is designed for Handi Quilter owners who are already comfortable using their machine and Pro-Stitcher. Rather than learning software buttons, you’ll spend the day quilting, experimenting, and making creative design decisions.
Learn how to:
- Select digital designs that complement garment patterns
- Position quilting for jacket and vest pieces
- Balance texture, density, and movement
- Combine block designs, fills, and borders
- Create professionally quilted fabric for wearable art
Bring your questions—we’re happy to answer them—but the focus is on creating and quilting rather than software instruction.
To provide plenty of hands-on learning and individual coaching, enrollment is limited to six participants.
