Session 2 Quilt Retreat for Educators in Hawaii

March 18th – 23rd, 2025

Bernadette Kent, co-sponsor of our quilt retreat and renowned quilting expert, manages Wonderfil Thread booths at national shows. Post last year’s retreat, we planned a week of exploration and play, seeking four more educators to join. Our retreat is a sanctuary for quilting educators, offering a chance to ignite imagination, converse, find inspiration, and unwind. Situated near a serene beach and energizing mountain trails, it offers a captivating escape from routine. We also explore the island’s stunning landscape, extraordinary cuisine, and distinctive shopping. Our days start with invigorating discussions on all things quilting, from fabrics, patterns, threads to teaching projects. All necessary sewing and quilting materials are provided.

The beach is walking distance, there is a short mountain hike nearby and located in a secluded residential area made to unwind. We will visit around the island for dinner, sight seeing and shopping. There will be a daily morning agenda to provide structure to our conversations. Allowing us to brainstorm and share ideas. Some agenda topics: Fabric, patterns, thread, embellishments, PS or digital designs, rulers, free motion, take away or teaching projects and anything else the group wants to include after signing up.
