Introducing Edie
Edie started quilting when she decided to make one for her son. She purchased her Handi Quilter Longarm machine in 2012 when she decided she wanted to finish her own quilts. She lives in North Dakota and is retired from the Army National Guard with more than 21 years.
After free motion quilting for years she discovered Pro-Stitcher and knew she had to have one. Her passion is discovering all the capabilities of the new software and quilting with digital designs. Today she uses free motion, rulers, Pro-Stitcher and Designer software to create everything from edge-to-edge design to custom designs for her classes.
Edie loves passing on her passion and knowledge about all aspects of quilting to her students. She teaches classes at two local shops in her area when she is not traveling to teach. I met her in June at HQ Academy in 2023 and we clicked right away. She is just a fun, colorful lady who is quick to smile and laugh. And oh so creative. We can been collaborating on design ideas and I finally have an opportunity to bring her to Hawaii for you to meet her and for us to play and explore with Pro-Stitcher during this 3 day show event.
Holiday Craft & Gift Fair Blaisdell Center
Art Quilts Hawaii has a Handi Quilter Booth
Watch Pro-Stitcher demonstrations, Explore hands on with the Stitch sewing machine and Discover what a Moxie Stationary (sit-down) machine is.
Why attend?
This show is an opportunity for you to discover quilting and get a little holiday shopping done on the side. Many may not know about Art Quilts Hawaii, located in Ewa Beach. We are the Handi Quilter retailer for Hawaii and sell sewing machines and longarm quilting machines, including Pro-Stitcher software that does computerized digital designs with the longarm machine.
Is all the too confusing………come by and discover what quilting is today, not the quilting you have seen your grandmother do. Pick up a sewing machine, Stitch, and start to mend your clothes, make your own gifts and realize that it can be used by everyone in the family.
Longarm quilting is not just for long time quilters. It is not to big or too expensive that it has to be a future wish list or dream. Find all the answers to your questions about the size and cost at the show. Speak to other quilters, see demonstrations and sign up for a class. I’m so excited to attend this show every year to introduce sewing and longarm quilting. This year we have an amazing fun educator doing demonstrations with digital design. I look forward to seeing you at the show. Better yet, sign up for our exclusive pre-show event.
