Quilty Club

First Wednesday at 10am

Third Saturday at 9am

Let’s gather, share and grow. We start off with talking story then move on to show and tell. When move into discussions about thread, notions, a quilt design and websites, patterns and anything else we want to share. We try to take a snack and shopping break and then we will move into a lecture/demonstration project but sometimes those just have to wait until the end because we just keep sharing and talking. An opportunity to stay after club and ask for help on a project is always open.

Do you have questions about making a quilt? Not enjoying or understanding a stage in the quilt making process. This is the club that works from beginning to end. Starting with, “How to get started” and ending with, “How to quilt this.” How a quilt is made effects the quilting process. Backing fabric needs to be cut straight or square to
attach to a longarm frame correctly. Thread weight and quilting designs should be paired. Let’s discuss all the details that no one talks about on YouTube or in patterns.

For those that live on the neighboring islands please help coordinate for me to visit. I would love to take the mystery out of longarm quilting, introduce digital designs and computerized quilting to you. Let's make quilting a statewide passion! Open Houses

Let’s share the joy of quilting …..Stop by to ask a question, shop for fabric, thread or a notion. Learn about longarm machines and all the different prices and sizes available. Give one a test drive. Open House are dates set aside that I stay home and make myself available without any appointments or planning.

It’s a unique experience to visit a working quilt studio. It’s even more fun to browse through dresser drawers and sort through bookcases and china cabinets to find all the notions and sewing tools. I carry what isn’t found in other stores and products I use and love. Bring a quilt top and lets match threads or bring some fabrics and lets find coordinating fabrics or a pattern for you to use with them.

Pro-Stitcher Event with Edie Waite - Demonstrations of projects, time to ask questions and learn about Pro-Stitcher computerized-robotic quilting. Quilting with technology, use Hawaiian art and digital designs to create your masterpiece with fabric and thread. Stitch sewing machines and longarm stationary machines will be apart of this show.
November 23rd - 25th Discover Quilting - how to build your free motion quilting on a sewing machine, transition to a stationary longarm machine, advance to quilting on a frame and jumping to the future with digtial designs or learn to use computerized edge to edge designs to finish quilts faster. Now add in free-motion, rulers and all the tools and skills Nick has to show you. This event is for everyone - get to know the artist Nickolas Turcan; 3 day of classes that will be amazing and incredibly inspiring.
January 18th - 20th Quilting Sitting down. Lynnette is not only patient but has so much knowledge to share. She has been apart of the national quilt shows for years and brings all the experience into her class. She is perfect for the new sewer wanting to learn to quilt and long time quilters expanding their skills to new levels. This event is for you, who quilt on a sewing machine or longarm stationary machine. Join us and get all your questions answered.
